This article describes a website that creates pornography deepfakes. A deepfake is hyper-realistic fake audio or video content depicting something that never actually occurred. Deepfakes are created through recent advances in artificial intelligence technology. In one unfortunate circumstance, a website emerged to create deepfake pornography. While arguing that they enable a safe way for people to explore their own personal sexual fantasies, the danger of this website is when someone creates deepfake pornography with another person’s face without that person’s consent. The article outlines the harm that can occur from this.
