Source: Scott Remer
Affiliation: Philosophy Now
In this article, Remer draws on the philosophies of Hannah Arendt and Simone Weil to argue that the modern world needs to reintroduce the values of spirituality and community, in particular for the working classes. Remer argues that these two facets of human life are essential to flourishing lives, but have slowly disintegrated with the growth of capitalism and economic thinking pervading all aspects of our lives.
