This article discusses some of the issues with Emotion Recognition Technology (ERT). ERT stands on shaky scientific ground and is prone to biases. Not only that, but even if ERT worked perfectly, the authors pose the question would we want this technology in our lives? The authors conclude by sharing their citizen science project that allows people to try out ERT for themselves and to learn more about it.
