Cities Need to Take the Wheel in Our Driverless Future

In this article, the author argues that cities need to play an active and thoughtful role in regulating the introduction of driverless cars. Rather than focusing on the safety of the vehicles, as many opponents of autonomous vehicles do, the author discusses other potential negative impacts of autonomous vehicles, including increased congestion on roads, increased pollution in the air, and decreased investment in public transit.
