In this article, the author discusses the reality that many engineers who have gotten into trouble because of ethical violations did so not because they were bad people but because they did not realize they were facing ethical issues in the first place. The author discusses the history of ethics in engineering and ways companies are taking action to address issues in engineering ethics.
