In this article, NBC's Bay Area Investigative Unit and The Center for Investigative Reporting report on an organized system for supplying cheap labor made up of foreigners in the US on H-1B Visas. These consulting firms, sometimes referred to as "body shops," recruit and then subcontract out skilled workers to major tech companies across Silicon Valley. In the process, they break US immigration law. Not only that, but the workers compare the experience to slavery or indentured servitude.
