In this report, the McKinsey Institute analyzes the impact of automation on the US job market, looking both across time and place. It's 5 main findings were: 

1. Local economies have been on diverging trajectories for years
2. Automation will not be felt evenly across places or occupational categories
3. In the decade ahead, local economies could continue to diverge
4. Less educated workers are most likely to be displaced, while the youngest and oldest workers face unique challenges
5. Local business leaders, policy makers, and educators will need to work together to chart a new course
