In this video, Dr. Larissa Thomas, focusing mostly on physicians, covers the three main elements of burnout: emotional exhaustion, cynicism and depersonalization, and feelings of ineffectiveness. Fundamentally, it is an incompatibility in the workplace between what is desired and what is reality. Thomas also distinguishes burnout from depression.
