Defund Facial Recognition

This article describes how facial recognition in policing is a particular threat to Black lives and to democracy. The article also discusses how large tech companies moving away from facial recognition technology after the murder of George Floyd by a police officer may come more from a desire for good PR than for a genuine concern for Black lives, and explore the relationship between private companies and policing.
